Just that really.
Has anyone had it done? Any problems? Would you recommend?

Had mine done a few years ago on a whim. One of the most straight forward piercings I’ve had. I love it. Only down side is I don’t like changing the piercing (doesn’t hurt but feels ‘weird’) so keep the same stud in.

MooChops89 · 02/06/2019 22:24

I got mine done for my birthday 2 years ago, got my nose done at the same time. Love my tragus piercing, although it's an absolute bugger to change the bar as I cant see what I'm doing and its very fiddly. I actually have a curly nose stud thing in it now and that seems to work perfectly well!

Liverbird77 · 02/06/2019 22:29

Got it done years ago. No issues. Contrary to another poster though I find it impossible to wear a headphone in that ear. It just falls out!

Had mine done at 16, now late 30s. Always had a ring, no issues with healing, still one of my faves. Only issue at the time was my Dad going mad about it Grin

StripyHorse · 02/06/2019 22:51

I think they look ace. I haven't had mine done as I am convinced it will hurt too much (I have got a forward helix which I am not sure it is too different pain wise!). To minimise potential problems sleeping on it, get a travel pillow (one of the u shaped ones) so you can sleep with your ear in the hole.

tessiegirl · 02/06/2019 22:52

What side have you all got pierced?

I've got L tragus and helix and R daith

cheesenpickles · 02/06/2019 23:03

Got mine done (along with a faith) last year. Love it!

ElizaPancakes · 02/06/2019 23:03

I had mine done a couple of years ago. It healed absolutely perfectly and really quickly too. I was worried it would hurt when sleeping but actually, that part of your ear pushes into your ear hole so it doesn’t.

It did hurt to get it done, but nothing too bad. I have tragus on the right and conch on the left - that one didn’t hurt at all!

Ohyesiam · 02/06/2019 23:07

No pain but the sound made me feel sick.

MitziK · 02/06/2019 23:15

Got both sides done, one after the other had healed (learned from the experience of getting both helixes done at once - very bad idea). Worst bit was the fiddling around to get the jewellery in after piercing them. One bled a lot, the other not at all.

I found the studs were very uncomfortable and harder to keep clean/my hair kept getting caught around them, but as soon as they were healed enough to switch, I got captive bead rings put in and they haven't caused a moment of trouble in the years since.

cheesenpickles · 02/06/2019 23:29

Right hand for both. The guy warned me it would be painful/uncomfortable and the big burly guy he last did it to cried. I laughed and said I'm a mum of two and he remarked after that I was "tough as nails". One thing worth pointing out is you may struggle to use in-ear headphones a bit.

Also aftercare is imperative and try not to sleep on it as it can heal wonky/get a keloid scar

TheMaddHugger · 02/06/2019 23:37

I got mine when I was 50. so it's been a few yrs now. (not too many lol) The piercer got the angle wrong. and the tiny stud kept falling out.

So we put a ring sleeper in and dangled some gems on a chain from that.

It healed very well considering I don't heal quickly No pain, no fuss.

Only issue is earbuds don't work mehh

TheMaddHugger · 02/06/2019 23:40

I sleep on the same side as the piercing, no issue

AngeloMysterioso · 03/06/2019 00:08

I have 12 assorted piercings in my ears- 3 in each lobe, tragus, conch and industrial in my left ear, rook and snug in my right, and aside from earlobes the tragus has probably been the least problematic and quickest to heal. Only thing is the studs can sometimes scratch your phone screen, so I usually go hands free on phonecalls when I can now!

ffiffi8 · 03/06/2019 06:25

I have one in each ear, a conch in each ear and a scaffold in one ear... most painful was the scaffold Sad the only annoying part is loosing a bar and finding another before they close 😑

Raylas · 03/06/2019 06:34

I love mine, my favourite by far. Go for it.

tessiegirl · 26/08/2019 20:53

Quick update - I'm getting mine pierced tomorrow! Eek!

Tafelberg · 26/08/2019 21:02

I’ve been thinking about doing this recently - I had mine done years ago but stupidly had a ring put in it rather than a stud, so it never healed properly and I ended up giving up and taking it out. I loved it though and am seriously tempted to try again. @ViciousTrollop I’m in London, where did you go for yours please?

lisasimpsonssaxophone · 26/08/2019 21:05

I’ve had mine done twice (on the same side) and it just wouldn’t heal at all. I kept going with it for a year the first time and nearly two years the second time, but it just kept getting red and icky and sore. I took really good care of it too Sad

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/08/2019 21:09

For anyone in London I can heartily recommend the shop I went to - just let me know for details

Do they have pretty jewellry ?
Our local place (where DD got hers done) has titanium studs .
Places like Metalmorphosis have some nice gem set and gold plated titanium. (The TopShop branch has more than the one in Hackney)

Maria Tash ( I think that's the right name ) is well reviewed , beautiful jewellry but ££

I am thinking about having something pierced ................

SheLivesInHope · 26/08/2019 21:12

I did and I loved it so much! Took a few months to heal.
Unfortunately a now ex-friend fell on me while drunk and managed to pull it out so now I just have an ugly misshapen tragus 😫

tessiegirl · 27/08/2019 22:47

Update...I got it pierced today!
All fine, didn't hurt just pressure.
Really pleased with it Smile
