To ask how much you pay for your gas and electric every year?

I have quite high bills, it’s quite a large detached 4 bedroomed house with a loft room too. How much do you pay and what is the size of your place?

But meredintof unless two people have exactly the same circumstances it really doesn't tell you anything.

People have different energy usages, live in differently insulated houses, like their houses at different temperatures etc.

There is absolutely no benefit in comparing with others, paying the least for energy is down to the individual.

The only possible reason I can see is if you've got the cheapest deal, you're being careful but you're still paying say £1000 a month you might ask how to get your meter checked but otherwise it's irrelevant.

We live in a very old, long and energy-inefficient 5 bedroom farmhouse. Our gas is £129 and our electricity is £48. This is for 2 adults and 2 children. We cook most things from scratch so the oven/hob is usually on for at least an hour every day and I have the heating on most days too.

700 euro, heating depending on oil prices for a 1000ltrs.
30 to 35 per wk electric, approx 1800 a year.
2500 euro altogether.

Ovo energy £70 a month. Up it to £80 October to March. Covered all winter and we have credit after winter. 3 bed 30s semi. Two of us.

Direct debit.
We have no gas. Electric is about £100/ month (cheap deal), and we have a couple of tanks of oil a year.(about £800 total at the moment)

£76 per month. Newish 3 bed semi, 2 adults 2 older kids.

3 bed detached with 2 adults and 4 dc. Ours is 127.50 per month most of which is electric
