My name is now popular but was quite rare when I was a kid so finding things with my name on was rare and exciting. Now however whenever my mum sees something with my name on it is bought for me. Wash bags, pencils etc. I feel about 8. Just moaning really.

My name is really popular now too. Was in Starbucks the other day and a parent kept shouting at their child and they had the same name as me. I wanted to tell them to make the child do as it was told or stop shouting the name, I kept instinctively turning round to it!

If it was anyone else getting you this stuff then you might not BU. But, at the risk of sounding sentimental which I'm not usually: it's your mum! And, as long as there isn't a hidden backstory here, I can't see that it's so bad...
I am another who wishes their mum was around in order to give me stuff - however awful it might be!
