To ask for your experiences with treating a persistent staph infection?

I have a persistent staph infection in my nose. It’s been swabbed and apparently isn’t MRSA but I’ve treated it with both naseptin and a course of flucoxacillin and both times it came back within days of finishing the course. I’m getting really down about it: I’m scrupulous about hygiene, am washing my hand thousands of times a day, not touching it, changing pillowcases and towels, and I really don’t know what more I can do. I have a baby and other small children and am increasingly anxious I’m going to pass it on. Have another doctors appointment tomorrow and would like to know if anyone else has experienced this and how they got rid of it, so that I’m prepared with some options to ask for.

I have no answers, as I have a similar problem, but just haven’t bothered to go to the doctor about it. So I’m afraid I’m here to tag along for the answers.
But, if it helps, I haven’t passed it on. As far as I can work out, many of us have these bugs living on us but most of the time they’re harmless. It’s not clear why they might turn into a live infection, but it doesn’t seem to be a massively spreading issue.
Finally - ouch! Isn’t it sore? And uncomfortable?

TBH I had MRSA crop up after an extended stay in hospital in a surgical incision and I fought it numerous times in various places in my body the antibiotic and side effects were brutal until finally one day I realized it had been quite a while since I had the infection and it's been over ten years plus. I honestly believe taking Rx omega 3 fish oil capsules made the difference for me

Yes! So uncomfortable! I just want normal nose health back, it constantly feels dry or tight or sore in there! Sad
