we have a RARE child free evening and had planned to go out for a curry. but I've done a 2 day as part of the 5:2 so suggested we see rocketman in our lovely local new cinema instead. but he's insisting we dont change plans leaving me feeling not listened to and cross. aibu?

Seriously, enjoy the curry. Get back on the horse the day after. Rare nights out have to be embraced.

Fuck it OP, if you very rarely get a night out you might as well fast at home indoors. Go out and make the most of it and eat a shit load of curry.

IceCreamFace · 28/05/2019 18:00

I'd go for the curry, then you can actually chat not just sit watching a film.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 28/05/2019 18:03

I came on to say that the whole bloody point of 5:2 was that it is very flexible!

I call my 'not quite' days Medium Days and focus on the calories I didn't eat rather than the ones I did! 5 years and counting, or rather NOT counting, and I am still just about in control Smile

Diets are a wholly futile way to make yourself (and anyone who has to llive with you) miserable. Enjoy your curry.

woodcutbirds · 28/05/2019 18:07

Enjoy the night out. Your DH was obviously looking forward to a curry and a chat. Just don't mention the DC. And do a fast day tomorrow.

sussexmum · 28/05/2019 18:09

in my defence I was probably hangry am now munching salad and have had a cuppa. the slight backstory is dh is large with high bp and loves his food more than almost anything which I do think of as a weakness/not that attractive

Never heard of a 2 out of a 5.2 but gather it's a diet.

Stick to original plans.

How large is large?

Does he overeat often?
