To go back to Drs... again!

For the past few weeks I’ve been feeling like when I inhale I’m not getting as much oxygen as I am used to.
I went to the Drs about this last week as I’m also having some kind of gurgle bubbly noise when I inhale inWhat feels like my right lung (could be wrong!)
She listened to my chest and took my blood pressure, I had full bloods done and nothing showed up. She said I could have a chest x- ray to reassure me so I’m waiting for the results of that.

But it’s really bothering me. Surely feeling you can’t breathe fully/ properly should be taken more seriously than this?

Thank you.

Would I IBU to go to Drs yet again?

It feels slightly like how my sister describes her asthma.

Go back.

Did she check your oxygen levels with a finger clip?
Are you on the pill or any family history of thrombosis?

Bumbalaya · 27/05/2019 22:36

Yes, blood pressure and finger clip all normal.
It seemed to start when I came off Sertraline, probably not related?
I just want to get to the bottom of it as I get quite bad health anxiety after my mum died of cancer.
Thanks for your reply..

generalised anxiety can make you feel like this.

Goldmandra · 27/05/2019 22:48

My DD1 feels like this when her anxiety is high. Her oxygen saturations are fine though so nobody is worried about it.

Bumbalaya · 27/05/2019 22:51

hmm thats interesting, thank you :)

I get this the whole time. For me it's because i haven't breathed out all the carbon in my lungs so not enough room to take a full breath. Try a long exhale and see if that helps any.

Bloodless · 27/05/2019 23:15

Have you ever tried the salbutamol inhaler? (Blue), if it was asthma it should give relief within a few minutes.

Hope you get sorted soon Flowers

Bumbalaya · 27/05/2019 23:27

Thank you, I’ll see if they can give me one to try?
It’s another worry!

It sounds like they've taken it seriously and you've had a good range of tests. Maybe a phone call to the gp to chase up the results of the xray? If the xray and bloods are clear, observations are normal, perhaps it could be a physiological in some aspect? YouTube has breathing exercises that might help to try for when you feel breathless if that might be the case.

I get this with anxiety sometimes, I get all sorts of physical symptoms with it and this is just one of many

Whatareyoutalkingabout · 28/05/2019 06:28

I suffer with anxiety and this is 100% a perfect description of how I feel . I suffer from health anxiety too which it sounds like you do as well, so this will be making the symptoms you're feeling worse ... Anxiety is a viscous circle.

Second the breathing out thing. I was in my 30s before I realised I didn’t breathe properly. I still hold my breath unnecessarily when concentrating.
