Is anyone else plagued by this ad on Mumsnet, to the right of the thread? And what the jeff is an out of shape man in budgie smugglers dancing on a beach supposed to suggest to me about psoriasis (that I don’t have and have never googled)?

I've got tea, gin, and an an for the company that places on line adds. and I keep clicking on that one because this computer is old and the track pad is dodgy.

I only get ads for gin - woman in bath and Silent Pool gin.

I'm currently seeing the gin one too and i don't drink so they're targeting the wrong person. however it definitely beats the the advert with the bare feet/disgusting toenails. Don't even know what that one was for.

I can't find a sleeping bag/camping airer on the website, I've Googled it and it doesn't seem to be a thing, so I'm still not sure what it is on the beach.

I get the gin and the tea - endlessly - plus things I have googled like OU courses and gardening equipment.
Never had gay cruises but clicked on the SilverySurfer's link and within seconds was bombarded with flashing huge sapphires and diamonds. How long before they get bored when they realise I can no more afford diamonds than a new garden fork!!

I’ve had gay cruises. I think its because of the LGBT links that I follow from FWR threads. I sometimes get clothing ads, but when I’ve clicked because of a pretty frock they’re all highly flammable polyester and for skinny minnies.

I don’t know. The chaps on deck are easy on the eye and there’s no risk of me splurging on a gay cruise, so it seems like a pretty hamless placeholder. Messing with the algorithm by confusing it with my browsing choices and ‘winning’ is OK by me.

Well I googled gay cruises and now an ad has popped up for Ford servicing .

I wonder if gin and tea is some sort of MN default. As in, if they can't pin you to psoriasis, gay cruises, discount bus travel, shiny dresses or German camping equipment then you may well be into gin or tea?
