Me and OH went away for the weekend we had a meal included in our stay but we didn't like the meals. so we could pay £10 surcharge for a rump steak. When I seen it and tasted it I thought this is not rump!! It tasted and looked like cheap frying steak.I did mention it to the waiter but she said she wasn't sure.

I'm not a steak connoisseur so just double checking before I tweet them.

I had rump steak last night, it was 5x as thick as that, no lie, and that was only TESCO 2 for £7. That really looks like frying steak to me. As others have said, you can cut rump as thin as you like, it’s still rump, but most people would like a decent thickness to cut in too. That would be very difficult to cook rare, medium/rare, medium as it would cook within such a short space of time.

whatever it technically is it's definitely cheap and nasty and you should be complaining
