Recently we've been walking our neighbour's dog to help her out. It's a big dog and the amount of poo that comes out of her is quite astonishing. Being a good citizen I always pick it up but even though I use 2 bags each time it still overspills and I am wretching. Sorry if tmi, don't want to stop walking her as she's adorable but I dread this happening! Any tips anyone? Thanks

Get one of these. I am sure other, cheaper, brands are available, but this is what I used until I got used to scooping. Made scooping after a large Labrador easy enough, so should be more than able to handle a Collie.

Pedigree Easi scoop with 20 bags and 50 refill bags www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00LOAUJ2E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_21B6CbRWFGP4V?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

She must be feeding it rubbish food. Good food = hardly any poop. Bad food = loads of waste.

Get the stronger type of dog poo bags.

Use two hands. Both hands into bag, grab the poo and enclose it, avoiding the handles!

It shouldn't be making that much mess really! It should be firm and easy to pick up without leaving hardly anything behind...not that you have any control over that, I know. Best of luck!
