Annoyed boyfriend given me the flu

Boyfriend has been ill twice in 3 months. I managed to avoid catching it the first time round.
He coughs, splutters, doesn’t put his hand over his mouth, tissue everywhere etc and tries to deep throat kiss me when he has the lurgy!!!
Now he’s better, I’m bloody bed ridden. This is my second day in bed and I’m not impressed!!

@NeverSayFreelance my DH had the flu, he didn't touch his phone for 3 days, he didn't wake up actually but people do forget that there are different strains of flu! DH ended up on tamiflu! I am so glad iv never experienced it, he looked dead for 2 weeks poor sod 😂

I think you need to have a talk with him when you're well again.

You've asked him to take steps to minimise the risk of you getting ill. You've made it clear you don't want to get ill. But he hasn't respected your wishes. Worse, he's practically tried to make you ill by French kissing Shock

Ask yourself if you want to spend your life with someone who disrespects you in this way. He owes you an apology at the very least Angry

Absolutely this most definitely a LTB Hmm

Aprillygirl · 25/05/2019 15:47

I'm doubt someone with flu would be interested in playing tonsil tennis with you. It's just a cold.

blackteasplease · 25/05/2019 15:50

I hate it when people take no steps whatsoever to keep their germs to themselves!

CartWHEEL2008 · 25/05/2019 15:54

@cliffy69 I will be having a talk with him.
And no it is not a cold. I haven’t been able to go to work so I know it’s more than a cold. I hardly ever call in sick!

Actually I dont think YABU. The best defence against cold and flu is basic hygiene and common sense- hand washing, cleaning of things that are commonly touched like light switches and remote controls etc

All of this is very easy for him and would save you from being ill so why wouldn't he do it

Also I do find first defence helps if I use it when someone nearby has a cold, I still get it but much more mild.

@CartWHEEL2008

You would have caught his lurgy(s) anyway, but YANBU because his habits sound grim. Trying to snog you, and french kiss you (which I assume is what you mean by 'deepthroating you!,) when he had a bad cold/infection is horrible. And splutting and coughing without putting a tissue in front of his mouth is quite vile.

Get well soon! Smile
