I have been suffering with dizziness, nausea and fatigue recently. It got a lot worse in the last 2 weeks. Had blood taken at the surgery on Wednesday and rang for results today. The receptionist said one lot had come back fine and the others had a note on them to make an appointment to see the doctor. Does that mean there is something really wrong? I’ve never had this before after a blood test and won’t find out until a doctor can ring me on Tuesday. It’s going to be a long weekend and not just because it’s a bank holiday!

I would put money on it being anaemia.

If it was urgent they would deal with it urgently.

I had a call from GP Receptionist booking a next day GP face-to-face appointment after a blood test. Worried it was something urgent, but it was just a borderline cholesterol to discuss, and there had been a cancellation hence a next day slot being available!

Thanks for your replies. The long weekend was very long, spoke to the doctor today and everything has come back fine except one of the liver ones is slightly elevated but she said that shouldn’t be causing the symptoms I have. So I’m actually none the wiser, still exhausted, still feeling sick and still dizzy. 😣

Glad the bloods were OK OP but how frustrating that you're no closer to an answer? What bloods did the doctor do and did she suggest any follow up? Do you think it could be allergies? Sleep apnea? Anxiety? Good luck!

LeukaeLucky · 28/05/2019 18:40

Are you taking any drugs? I'm currently on a lot of steroids and antivirals and it's killing my liver

Lwg87 · 28/05/2019 19:21

I take sertraline but nothing other than that. They want to repeat bloods in 4-6 weeks. I’m seeing doctor on Monday anyway. I’m wondering if it could be low blood pressure? It’s always been low

If they only want to check in 4 to 6 weeks you can't be too far out of the margin. When I get shitty results I have to come back the following day
Don't worry too much and drink a lot to clear your liver

Lwg87 · 28/05/2019 21:09

Thanks. I’m not worried about the liver result - just that I’m still really struggling with the symptoms. I’m sleeping 9 hours at night and waking exhausted, needing naps. I feel drunk - off balance and fuzzy in the head. It’s been weeks now

Do you take Vit D?

minniemoll · 28/05/2019 21:18

Did this by any chance start when you started a new packet of sertraline? I was once given a different make to my normal one, and felt very odd for the two months it lasted. The next time was back to the usual one and felt fine again. It took me a while to realise the connection though.

CaptainDamaged · 28/05/2019 21:24

What dosage of sertraline are you on? I’m on 150 and feel exactly the same!?
