Your agoraphobic daughter who hadn't been out for years suddenly decided to venture outside.

Would you
a) be delighted and proud
b) feel resentful and think they could have done it before

It does make me feel like giving up. The same happened as I've gradually started to use the phone. It's resented because of all the times they have made calls for me, and they assume I could have done it myself then too.

Hmm. Some fleeting or occasional resentment if its severely impacting /affecting their life too is understandable. But open resentment you've made progress? IME with MH issues sometimes those close to you have their own agenda & want things to stay as they are: And they resent you turning it round & not depending on them any more. Which do you think it was?

I'm honestly not sure. I'm not that great at reading people. I've actually been wondering recently if I'm on the autistic spectrum.
