OLD weirdo

I have to tell someone as I'm so bemused.

I have the Plenty of Fish app on my phone. I'm not currently looking to meet anyone (cba) but the red numbers on my phone screen indicating messages do my head in so occasionally I click on it to get rid of them.

Did it this morning and received a message straight away from a reasonably nice looking guy who looked friendly. So I replied.

Very quickly asked why I wasn't on the site evenings & weekends so I told him I rarely went on the site other than to clear red numbers (true) Asked for my name on Facebook. I told him. But did say it was locked down so he couldn't stalk me 😂
He asked for my married name. My married name is my name but explained I'd been divorced 30+ years and never changed it
He then asked to see a copy of my divorce papers Hmmso I said 1. I was at work 2. I don't know where they are (true) 3. Why did I need to justify myself to some random on the internet and if he didn't believe I was single to jog on. Yes, I know, I was feeding the weirdo

I got back a huge rant (all in capital letters) about how I was a liar, cheating on my husband, probably deleted the app every day so he couldn't find it, on and on he went.
I went to respond and he'd blocked me !!!!!

Oh my god what a psycho. And men wonder why they're single. I keep sniggering to myself. Weirdo.

Op you might want to consider reporting him, he may well be trying to scam people, particularly asking for official documents

When I was 18 and single I had pof...swiftly deleted it after a guy sent me the most creepy message about wanting to make me moan and how many fingers it took to satisfy me🤮
Shot him down with you're a creep fuck leave me alone to which he replied we live in a very small town watch your back because I will get you. I was petrified!!

@MilkchopsMcgee I can't report him cos he blocked me and so the conversation has gone. Freak !!!! I really don't get on what evidence he thinks I was married and cheating on my husband. Weirdo. Funny though.

I met dh on plenty of fish 10 years ago. To be fair you really do have to be brutal and use the block and delete button a LOT!

Don't ever give too much personal information to someone you've never met. I've found men on LinkedIn from just their first name, where they went to university and knowing what they studied... It's very easy to track someone down with a first name and surname! You can often find out where someone works within minutes.

Even if you don't have linkedin, there could be photos of you online from work or social events you've forgotten about which were published in local papers etc... A closed down Facebook account doesn't mean anything.

There are a lot of weirdo men (and some women) online. You need to be aware of the signs and never feed into their demands. No information that could have them on your doorstep or at your workplace until you've met them and feel they're genuinely nice and normal.
