To ask what activities other mums with 20months and newborn succeed to go to?

Hello,
Just the question really.
Looking for ideas as my newborn is due for in 3 weeks and I already have a 20months old.
I am aware baby will more likely sleep and eat lol but security wise and also as first baby is energetic... kinda wonder what I could do as activity where i can bring them both.

Thanks!!!

Following! Due #2 in sept (2yr age gap).

Everything you would do with no newborn is easily done with a newborn. It starts getting trickier when the newborn is 6 months+ but until then just keep going everywhere. Baby is light and easy, happy in a buggy and sleeps a lot.

I had 2 under 2, then 3 under 3, then 4 under 5. But 1 toddler and a newborn was no bother. Go to:

Walks in the park
Coffee shops (short sit down due to toddler)
Mums and tots sessions
Museums
Friends houses
Etc

I did the same things as before and took the baby along. I liked toddler sense (the next classes after baby sensory) It was free for the baby until they were one, but was actually a good experience for them, and great for the older one to burn off energy. I also loved church toddler groups- usually lots of helpful ladies who would play with the toddler while you were feeding and were very happy to cuddle a newborn while you play with the toddler.

I have exactly that age gap.
We did lots of mum and baby groups.
Walking in the park and mainly hanging out with friends who had children of similar ages.
(And lots of tea and cake. )

Oh and the local library. They have an area where toddlers can play and look at the books whilst I fed the baby.
We did lots of free stuff.
And messy play. Toddlers did an activity, babies slept in prams until they woke up and we fed them.

The only thing I recommend avoiding unless you have a second adult with you is playgrounds. I have that age gap and (at the time) my 20 month old would be climbing too high on something or need to be rescued etc and I was trying to breastfeed a newborn. Playground where you can sit down are ideal!

We did....

Baby gym
Library
Mother and toddler groups
Swimming
Soft play
The park
Friends’ houses
Inviting friends over
Days out at local attractions.

Get a sling for baby.

Thanks!!!
So ... it might be a weird question lol
But where was the newborn (transportation type) when toddler was free of movements?
I can defo run after lo but with another push/newborn ConfusedHmm??!

Or was the toddler then always in a group? Closed environment?

I recommend a sling to be hands free for your toddler.
I had a double buggy but used the sling to be hands free and be able to play with toddler / in baby gym etc.
