Bad pelvic pain and can't get gp appointment

Had a baby a few months ago. The last 10 days or so, since my last period started, I've had bad pelvic pain. It's where I would expect my left ovary is and is a dull, nagging pain. I phoned my gp and can't get an appointment for 3 weeks. It's radiating down my leg and I'm worried about it,

Has anyone ever experienced this before? It almost feels bruised.

If it’s very bad I would ring 111 and ask for advice.

Poor you. No idea what it could be but call 111 for advice. They always look after a new mum. Dont wait 3 weeks to see a g.p.

Have you tried OTC pain relief? 111 if that doesn't help

bellamorella · 21/05/2019 22:41

@Omzlas I've taken ibuprofen but it doesn't do anything. Didn't even think to call 111. I'll try them in the morning. Thank you.

I don't usually worry but for some reason this worries me.

111 are available 24hrs a day. No need to suffer in silence. Congrats on your new baby.

Try and get a referral to physio. Do try and get it seen to ASAP. Pain relief didn't touch mine.

If viable, I really recommend ostepaths. I had SPD in pregnancy which second time was exacerbated by the destruction of my pelvic floor in an instrumental birth. 3 months later, I still couldn't walk 500m uphill from the local shops. After a few osteopath appointments to help ease muscle tension and realign my joints, my mobility improved rapidly.

Omzlas · 21/05/2019 23:37

@Bella ibuprofen is an antiflammatory and won't help if you don't have inflammation

I also thought about SPD.... I got it with DC1, earlier in pregnancy with DC2 and I still have it despite DC2 being almost 3, it could possibly be that if you had it during pregnancy

Hope you feel better soon though Flowers

That's what my ovulation pain feels like, and my period pain used to feel like. Can't say whether that's what you're experiencing but it might well be.

SPD isn't really on one side is it though?
