Our very last chance to speculate.
Btw I'm not really understanding all the hate for the latest series. Still enjoying it! My two penn'orth:
Dany dies - maybe at Jon's hands. Arya goes back to live out her days with the Faceless Men (Is that their name??). There's a lovely peaceful coalition between all the goodies: Tyrion (Lanister), Sansa (Stark), Jon (Targeryan), Gendry (Baratheon), Yara (Greyjoy) - so all the houses, but some inkling of trouble to come at the end. Final shot of some hitherto unknown dragon's eggs. Just leaves Bran ...? No idea about him, but it better tie up his story decently!!

I think it'll be like the ending of the Gladiator. Big fight between Jon and Dany where Dany is killed by Jon but Jon is fatally injured. As Jon dies he declares Westoros a republic. That or Gendry will be king.

I just want it to end now. It's been a shit series.

Rach182 · 19/05/2019 15:13

Also Arya can change faces, yet no-one communicates on battle plans. No one thought to get her to go in stealth to kings landing, change faces with close to Cersei and kill her. No instead she announces at kings landing that she's Arya Stark and she's there to kill Cersei. She's meant to be no one. What was the point in her assassin training?

Who is Gendry and how did he and Sam Tarwell survive the long night battle?! They're shit fighters, were shown surrounded by walkers several times and yet survived.

Don't get me started on Tormund and how they've turned him into a slapstick comedy joke. I can't even talk about Jaime's character arc without getting annoyed. I guess he went full circle.

And after all the amazing ways Cersei killed her enemies, the worst being how she dealt with the sand snakes.... she got killed by rocks. ROCKS? I felt robbed.

Dairyqueen2 · 19/05/2019 15:29

Rach182 - she can only wear a face after she's killed that person, I think

Since they bought Jon back from the dead I felt the show has not been as good.... Apart from my favourite episode 'battle of the bastards'. I just find him an unremarkable character and since that point it became more about him than almost anyone else. Arya, sansa and tyrion ruling would be fine by me....maybe sansa and tyrion as a couple?

YouTheCat · 19/05/2019 15:53

Sansa will rule Winterfell.

Jon will bugger off North and take the dragon.

Arya will kill Dany and steal her face.

Bronn will die defending Tyrion.

MsJuniper · 19/05/2019 15:54

I wonder if the key is that Tyrion has been saying that the reason Jon would be a good ruler is that he doesn't want to be one. Is there someone who wants it less? Arya?

Agree that it will end on a dragon egg/Lannister cliffhanger.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 19/05/2019 17:26

Dany will follow up her Kings Landing rampage by resolving to 'dracarys' anyone who gets in her way. She'll start by killing Tyrion and Davos for freeing Jaime behind her back. But before he dies Tyrion will deliver a powerful and impassioned monologue about the futility of war, how power corrupts and what it means to rule with honour (but in much cleverer words than that), knowing full well that it won't change her mind (because she now officially gives no fucks whatsoever) but that it will speak to Jon and he'll finally fucking DO SOMETHING this season instead of just going "but I don't want it" over and over and over! Once Tyrion and Davos have been thoroughly barbecued Dany will threaten the lives of Arya, Sansa and Bran because they know about Jon's claim to the throne. Either Bran will warg into the Dragon and Dracarys her before she Dracarys's them (which would at least mean there was some point to Bran and all this tedious warging, three eyed raven stuff) OR Jon will have to kill Dany to save them. If the former happens, Greyworm will heroically put pointlessly fling himself in front of Dany and be deacarys'd with her. If the latter happens, Greyworm will still step in to try to protect Dany (as he is programmed to do) and in doing so will mortally wound Jon but not before Jon has managed to kill Dany. If that happens Arya will probably kill Greyworm or maybe, having failed to protect his Queen and with Missandei dead, he'll decide he has nothing left to live for and he'll kill himself. Either way, he's toast.

Part of me thinks Gendry will end up on the iron throne because there's got to be a reason they randomly brought him back and made him such a big character after being absent for four seasons other than Arya needing to get laid. If I had my way I would like to see Sansa on the throne, with Brienne as Hand of the Queen. Also Tormund would come back, Brienne would realise that Jaime was an utter shit and not worth crying over and she'd have Tormund's big beautiful, bearded babies. Arya will sail off into the sunset, alone but happy and Bran can just be chilling in the Godswood by the big tree, doing his three eyed Raven thing.

Or probably none of the above will happen but I'm looking forward to it either way.

Dairyqueen2 · 19/05/2019 18:46

Minister - that's a great ending, and if the real one is crap, I'll hold onto yours!

kizkiz · 19/05/2019 18:47

After somebody kills dany, there will be a knock at the door and a prince of dorne will walk in, point out that everyone forgot about them, and they're army is now twice the size of the rest of the kingdoms combined. Thanks for killing everyone, and you can call me king Grin

megletthesecond · 19/05/2019 18:53

I've never seen it but my hunch is that Arya is going to come out on top.

KungFuPandaWorks · 19/05/2019 19:12

Thought gendry was brought back because he was a blacksmith and they needed a load of weapons? He helped make them didn't he.

Dairyqueen2 · 19/05/2019 19:30

Klzklz - I noticed that the new Prince of dorne was casually mentioned a few epis back too! I love your ending because it's basically Hamlet!!

MagicKingdomDizzy · 19/05/2019 19:30

Dany tries to execute Sansa, Arya, Bran and Tyrion. Jon kills her to stop her.

Jon refuses the throne and goes to join the freefolk, and either Bran or Gendry take it.

The last scene shows the white walkers haven't been defeated after all.

Not sure about Drogon, but I like a PP suggestion of Bran warging into him.

Nervous at everyone saying the spoilers are indicating a bad ending (I've purposely avoided them) I so want it to be good!!!

Dairyqueen2 · 19/05/2019 19:38

Ah! Dany can't get killed by her Dragon, can she? Because she can't burn ... 🤔

OP posts:
origamiunicorn · 19/05/2019 19:44

I think the writers have clearly got bored and lazy and just want it over and done with. So this is the result.

I don't think they got bored, I just think what we've previously seen is George's influence, his words, his influence. In the first season, if you read the books, they just ripped his wording straight off the pages. Now the paths of the books and film are completely separate we are seeing D&Ds sub par writing niw

Merryoldgoat · 19/05/2019 20:40

I’m having real difficulty not going and looking for leaks 😩

NapsAndTea · 19/05/2019 21:04

I want more dragons!

fedup21 · 19/05/2019 21:07

Everyone gets Dracarysed and it ends with Dany sitting on the throne laughing maniacally!

TheABC · 19/05/2019 21:12

Whatever happens, prepare for outraged screams from the internet. The one thing I am sure about is that everyone is going to be unhappy with the ending.

BeyondOverTheMoon · 19/05/2019 21:21

Drogon might not be able to burn Dany (perhaps, depending on how fire proof she actually is...) but he could eat her! Grin

Gth1234 · 19/05/2019 21:30

I can't imagine I will ever watch it. That's my prediction.

NCforthisone19 · 19/05/2019 23:07

Gth1234 Careful you don't cut yourself on that edge of yours.

origamiunicorn · 20/05/2019 07:09
