Cannot believe the advertising agency made it, cannot believe Ford signed off on it - not even lip service paid to women's equality/superiority now. We are still only good enough to make their tea, can't even time that right for the busy, important menz.

Their new marketing director is a woman Hmm

We aren’t superior, we are all human beings, existing in a period of time until the next lot come along. Responding to historic sexism by reversing it does not solve the problem, it is divisive. Boys and girls should not feel inferior because of their sex. As to the suggestion about a more gender-balanced soundtrack featuring the Spice Girls or Bewitched.... ummmm?

Ads that portray men as bumbling domestic idiots are horrible too. And yes, the annoying tea lady was old. Whereas a male actor her age would be handling a car confidently on the open road!

But as I said-I'm personally not bothered by Ford selling to men. Men probably do buy more vans.
I just wish women of all ages would sometimes be shown as a bit more dynamic!

Sure I saw a couple of women in there, one with clipboard, another in the middle of it and a lady at the end ... it wouldn't even occur to me to be honest if there weren't any there - assume the majority are men in any case and I don't think the advert is a step back at all

I thought this was going to be about how delusional Ford are to think they're the backbone of the UK...the US maybe...
