And I really fancy a ham and pineapple pizza at the moment. I used to make my own with pineapple chunks out of a can.

Yes,im a fan of pineapple whether on pizza and the original item which i chop up and put in a tupperware box in the fridge.

No, it’s delicious. Also goes well I need a pasta salad with bacon and cherry tomatoes with a honey and mustard dressing.

I never get why pineapple topping is held up as the ultimate pizza sin. I prefer plain marguerita, but pineapple isn’t bad. There is far worse out there, such as chicken tikka and (haven’t seen this for years, mind) hoisin duck. A meal in its own right shouldn’t be anywhere near a pizza! Seem to remember this stuff was big in the 90s.

I lived in Brazil for a while, and guava was a favourite topping. Guava and cheese is a really popular combo there, but I couldn’t face it on a pizza. Pineapple and other sweet pizzas very common too.

nope sorry, it is beyond disgusting. Pineapple has its place, and on pizza is definitely not where it belongs.

Ooh I used to get 'veggie sweet' as a student....vegetarian pizza with pineapple! YUM!

My dh gets very upset about pineapple on pizza. He can’t believe the man who first started serving it in Hawaii was an Italian. Whenever our friend wants to tease him when we go out for dinner she says “i’m having hot fruit for dessert”. I told him that as a child I loved the pineapple fritters our fish and chip shop served, that we had sometimes as a special treat. I could see he was re-evaluating his decision to spend his life with me.

@Confusedbeetle - I had a volunteer from Naples last year. When I asked for pineapple on my homemade pizza I thought he was going to pass out!!

The only time I like pineapple is when it's hot and on pizza.
Pineapple, tuna and red onion is best topping ever.

I don't eat meat so my pizza order is:
Four cheese
Mushrooms
Pineapple
Sweetcorn

In Italian it's peperone and means bell pepper. So red green or yellow
I grew up calling it peperone, and as such, pepperoni confused me, 🤣
