Or should it be bechamel? I always do cheese but following a new recipe that’s just bechamel sauce with cheese on the top

I do cheese sauce, and parmesn on top. One day a few years ago, I was feeling lazy, so bought a dolmio white sauce. Had to throw the whole dish away as it was way too sweet. Grrr. But yes, cheddar and a bit of parmesan in the sauce works for me.

Pretty sure it's meant to be bechamel. I do cheese sauce with extra strong grated on top. We all love cheese. I don't think it matters at all - it's a question of personal taste surely?

Making it for tomorrow's tea as it goes! yum.

My DS has totally converted me to Jamie's recipe using crème freche - so much quicker and less fuss, and it tastes gorgeous. I spread it on the lasagne sheets, put a layer of thinly-sliced mozzarella on top and cover with grated pecorino. It's delicious..!
