Why are there no toys in cereal boxes anymore?

Just curious after being reminded by another thread.

We used fight over it when were kids and make a mess of the actual cereal trying to get it out.

I suppose its to stop encouraging kids to stop buying sugary cereals but we only have cornflakes here and its brought back so many childhood memories.

I used to love the toys that came in cereal. I found some of the bike reflectors at my dad's and they're now in my dcs bikes.

I understand trying to reduce single use plastic but they could easily put top trumps or match attacks card in instead. As pp said there's far more plastic on kids magazines, so much that I refuse to buy them not to mention the astronomical cost I've seen some with 3 crappy plastic toys, each individually wrapped in plastic and then all of it in another big plastic bag.

Coco pops and rice krispies have got nerf discs in at the moment.

I think some of you have too much faith in Kellogg’s! Highly unlikely that they stopped them for environmental reasons...
Probably just cost saving.
