www.hulldailymail.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/womans-shock-buying-loaf-kingsmill-2857635

A woman bought a loaf of bread to find it was all crusts. She was not amused. It would have been my daughter's perfect loaf!

So I was wondering what other foodstuff have you bought that weren't right?

I had a box of double yolk eggs (best few days of my life! 😂 I genuingely didn't even know that you could get double yolk eggs), a whisper with no bubbles, a kit Kat with no biscuit and the one that bothered me... a packet of crisps with just 2 crisps in it! They were large crisps but still. 😂

NC.

A garlic baguette with no garlic butter. Just a sliced baguette. That was a shit day

Spanglybangles · 14/05/2019 17:22

I’ve had a kitkat without wafer, munchies without the biscuit, jam doughnut without any jam and a carbonara ready meal with no bacon/ham.

Angie169 · 14/05/2019 17:24

I can't find the Thread at the moment but what happens is a lady whose husband found numbers on the bottom of his crumpets whilst lorry driving

Looking4wards · 14/05/2019 17:28

A can of baked beans with 2 beans in it

LittleKitty1985 · 14/05/2019 17:37

A bag of kettle chips that was half full of heavy damp seasoning with only a few crisps. V disappointing and weird!

ThatCurlyGirl

I got a banana with a nest of spiders on, I was terrified. I boxed it and put it in the freezer with the intention of taking it back to the shop to let them know. I forgot and found the box about 2 months later Blush

Drogosnextwife · 14/05/2019 17:49

Oh and what I am convinced was a tiny frog in a bag of microwave rice. I'm pretty sure I posted about both of them on MN and people suggested it was mould but I'm sure I could see innards 🤢

Drogosnextwife · 14/05/2019 17:51

Oh and a bright green beetle in a box of grapes when I was younger. It was quite amazing.

Drogosnextwife · 14/05/2019 17:52

Oh and worms in cherries while on holiday with my parents. We were half way through the punnet before my mum realised 🤢

Nanamilly · 14/05/2019 18:02

Many years ago one of the main employers in my hometown was a canning factory. Every Friday they'd sell off all the damaged tins of fruit and veg, they'd also sell off the tins that had ended up without labels on them. My grandad was a supervisor in the factory and he'd buy loads of the tins and hand them out to the family and Sunday dinner wasnt Sunday dinner without my mum shaking and tin and saying oh yes, this sounds or feels like peas, only for her to open it and find it was tinned strawberries or raspberries. Sometimes she'd open a tin and it would be the carrots she was thinking they were but other times we'd be sitting there with bowls of custard hoping she'd open strawberries and she'd get peas instead.

I remember having in my school lunchbox once a biscuit bar with no biscuit but I can’t remember what brand it was...it was biscuit on the bottom, then a layer of chocolate with honeycomb type bits in it, and the whole thing covered in chocolate. It came in a blue wrapper I think, the type you buy in a multipack from the supermarket like a Club...anyone know what i’m talking about??! It was an amazing day the day it was solid choc and honeycomb in my lunchbox. I wonder if they still make them? This was about 30 years ago...

Dexterslockedintheshedagain · 14/05/2019 18:06

@OkOkWhatsNext I remember those too, but can't for the life of me remember what the name was! I keep thinking something to do with Gold. I loved them!

MitziK · 14/05/2019 18:13

I got screwed over with a box of custard doughnuts that turned out to be sodding jam ones. Well, the ones that actually had any filling at all, that was.

OkOkWhatsNext · 14/05/2019 18:14

Think I’ve found it! United bar!!

flyingspaghettimonster · 14/05/2019 18:46

This was on my facebook this morning... a rat pup in a chinese noodle dish. I still haven't eaten breakfast after that.

ForgotwhatIcameinherefor · 14/05/2019 18:53

OkOkWhatsNext I absolutely LOVED United biscuits!!! I miss them.

73kittycat73 · 14/05/2019 19:25

Ordered a messy burger a few weeks ago: Burger, salad, bacon, egg, mushrooms, all for home delivery. Order arrived with no burger in it!

Davros · 14/05/2019 21:01

United eh? I was thinking Blue Riband. I think I've had a Club with little or no biscuit but no rat pup Envyvom

vampirethriller · 14/05/2019 21:01

KitKat with no biscuit
Rolos with no toffee
Spider in a bunch of bananas which bit me on the foot!

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 14/05/2019 21:06

Good food surprise: packet of fruit pastilles with only red and black ones in

Bad food surprise: cooked stuffed chicken. Except not stuffed... not gutted... so had mouthful of chicken and cooked chicken innards Envy

Actually retching remembering that one

whitehalleve · 14/05/2019 21:12

Lots of solid Kit Kats, curly wurlys with two in the wrapper! I was so happy!

Justanyrh1 · 14/05/2019 21:17

I opened a packaged loaf of bread to find it had been sliced lengthwise - so I had about six very long slices Grin

Langrish · 14/05/2019 21:19

Speckledust

“A Tesco Value fish finger with no fish in it”

This was a surprise because? Ugh, disgusting things. Aldi cod fish fingers, cheap and bloody lovely.

Angie169 · 14/05/2019 21:28
