I think it definitely depends on the type of content you watch.
Many of the original YouTubers of 8-14 years ago are now finding that they have to diversify their content a lot, as their audiences have “grown up” with them, and newer viewers aren’t interested in finding them. For example, I’ve watched Dan Howell since his very early days in 2010, but he’s already made a lot of changes to his content to diversify and “age up” his channel, and is currently taking a long hiatus, presumably to figure out where he wants to go.
I think the “mummy blogger” and “beauty guru” realms of YouTube are extremely oversaturated now, which is probably why you are feeling fed up with their content. Again, they need to diversify, and fast.
My absolute favourite subset of YouTube would have to be “Booktube”, which is absolutely flourishing in the UK. Always lots of fresh tags, decent in-depth reviews and video essays to enjoy. That’s a subset who are getting it exactly right at the moment.
I’ve also become a real fan of minimalism lifestyle videos, which is a refreshing change after I unsubbed from all the beauty gurus I’d had on my subscription box since the early days.
