Where are my slippers?

I went away for 2 weeks at the beginning of April. On my return my slippers are nowhere to be found.

I love my slippers. They are purple felt and have moulded to my feet perfectly. They are wonderful and comfortable and most importantly, they keep my frozen toes a fraction of a degree above frostbite. I didn’t take them with me. This was my first mistake.

Nobody has seen my slippers. Everyone has denied seeing them. The dog has been interrogated and passed a lie detector.

Where. Are. My. Slippers?

While I have every sympathy with your unfortunate slipper situation, I’m somewhat distracted at the concept of a holiday shoe rack

Waffle the bloody wonder dog loves fluffy purple slippers, maybe check the CBeebies studio hasn't got them (not helpful, sorry )

Whenever I lose something I've recently seen it's always in my dressing gown pocket, hung on the back of the bedroom door.

Unfortunately I've checked and your slippers weren't there after all.

I’m the car tucked under a seat? That’s where I found mine, as packed away by DH.

Are they dotted in random places in the garden? Our dog often picks up random shoes , takes them outside and then leaves them there.

Some ones hidden them, try the loft, on top of the kitchen cupboards and in the airing cupboard (where mine have been hidden in the past).

One is under the sideboard and one behind the cupboard in the lounge. That's where mine went last time. By themselves apparently.

Maybe a pervert has taken them. Or someone's taken them to flog to a pervert on eBay.

Mine always end up under a bag - check there.

Are they with my earphones?

Who was house/pet sitting? Did they wear the purple slippers of comfort and a) decide to acquire them because of their perfect slippery qualities. Or b) the slippers befell a tragic accident and they were thrown away and forgotten about.

They are in a carrier bag somewhere, you were going to take them on holiday, put them in the carrier bag and forgot to pack them.

Where were they? Enquiring minds would like to know. (Or is the OP too embarassed to admit that they had been put in the fridge or the microwave or the dishwasher)
