To complain to Walkers Crisps

I bought a six pack of Pickled Onion Monster Munch - my pregnancy craving.
Imagine my horror when I pulled out a pack, opened it, ate a crisp to discover they WERE NOT PICKLED ONION. It was Roast beef (yuck)!!! Checked the other packets - they were ALL roast beef .
Check the pack they came in - yep should be six pickled onion flavour, so I hadn't bought the wrong ones by mistake.
I'm going to write them a very stern email to tell them how utterly traumatised I was by not having any pickled onion monster munch.
Going to take them back to Asda (where I bought them from).

Do you think they'll send me some freebies

Is it an urban myth that roast beef crisps are suitable for vegetarians but some cheese and onion aren't?

SlightlyMadSpider · 18/07/2007 22:28

Walkers Cheese & onion are fine for vegitarians...

Hulababy · 18/07/2007 22:28

No that is true jaynehater. I discovered the fact only this weekend. Most "meat" crips are just flavouring. However cheese crisps inclde cheese powder as an ingredient, and it never says that it is vegetarian cheese powder used. So technically not veggie, as not all cheese is veggie.

Hulababy · 18/07/2007 22:29

That is some cheese & onion, not all.

alison222 · 18/07/2007 22:30

No its true Jaynehater. C&O actually have cheese powder in it and the cheese may have animal rennet used to set the cheese hence they are not vege.

SlightlyMadSpider · 18/07/2007 22:30

Which is why I said that Walkers are fine....having checked their website...I am not trawling all manufacturers though....
