About a woman standing in my front garden looking at my house?
I opened my window and asked if I could help her and she asked me if I want to sell her my house. I said no thank you and closed the window. Shortly after she got in a car with a man and they drove away.
It’s playing on my mind that something malicious was going on.
I’ve lived here for 5 years, no history, though no idea about previous owners.
Of course she could genuinely like my house but it isn’t for sale and I’ve never seen them before. I’ve heard stories of people attempting break ins marking/watching houses beforehand.
Am I being paranoid or should I be on guard?

We once had someone knock on our door and ask would we sell it and could they have a look around - bonkers.

Agreed @krustykittens. People used to do it at our last house and it eventually got pretty tiresome. But y’know ‘don’t ask, don’t get!’

My sister and I took our DC to the house we grew up in a few years ago. We had only intended to drive past but one of the rhododendrons was in full bloom in the garden so Dsis decided to walk past and take a quick photo. The owners spotted her when she went a bit overboard on the photos ( big garden and house was not in the shot but obviously looked suspicious). They came out to see her and she fessed up. They were lovely, they had bought the house off our parents 20yrs earlier but seemed to know a lot about us and invited us in to show the DC the house. I have to say we were very embarrassed but it turned out they had been at school with us and remembered us.
We were both reluctant to see inside the house but they insisted. We were surprised how little they had changed things (other than updating decor) and we were able to answer lots of questions they had about the history of the house.
