My cat is cheating on his partner.

A few years ago our cat (we shall call him Tom) made friends with a scrawny little cat from up the road (we shall call him Dick) Poor little fella was starving and Tom would happily let him eat his food. Tom is a beast and at least twice the size of the other one. Dick eventually with the owners permission moved in with us.

Now it’s starting again. The same pattern. First Tom was always with this new cat (we shall call him Harry). Wherever we saw them in the garden they were together gradually getting closer. Now Harry was in the house this morning eating my cats food. Tom happily sitting on the side observing.

Dick is more of a house cat and isn’t as adventurous as Tom but they do sleep together and give each other a good lick.

Aibu to say to Tom no more and also be a bit sad that we have raised a serial cheat and feel bad for poor Dick who has been a loyal partner for years.

Harry is all fluffy and shiny and will break Toms heart but what can you do? You just try your best for them, accept the odd dead rat on the floor and now this......

This Dom, he has thumbs and is a sociably sort. He like Tom likes to invite guests to dinner. This is Lola she, like Joey Tribbiani, doesn’t share food. She is not a very good hostess.

I also have a ginger male and he hates other cats and just about tolerates his housemates🤷🏻‍♀️

Tom isn't being unfaithful. Tom just wants a larger family.

Tom can have dinner with whoever he likes- Dick should try and be paws off, he doesn't want to be controlling, it could be perfectly innocent.

Unless he suspects there's more going on, then he should investigate further (check Tom's bedding, stalk him around the garden, smell him on return) and with or without proof, definitely LTB.

The Bunz has a thing for females, of the human variety and flips onto his back when he sees one coming. I love that cats all have their own peccadilloes!

My cat, though strictly an indoor cat, still manages to draw crowds. I saw him sitting in the window once and went to see what he was looking at; there was a row of admirers on the outside and he was gazing benevolently at them. If he were allowed out I can only imagine what relationship dramas he would bring home!
