@PanGalactic at the very, very, least, and as a role model for rugby fans of whatever club he plays for, he should have demonstrated some form of rehabilitation for his vile behaviour (undisputed facts of the case quite apart from the verdict), for example educating himself first and then going to talk to young players about consent and how important it is to establish consent.
Or just basic respect for women.
But in any case, no one has the right to be a professional rugby player. It is a privilege - a huge privilege - and with it comes responsibility as a role model.
But honestly, who cares how he supports himself, frankly. I don’t hear anyone asking how the female victim is supposed to get her life back together.
