AIBU to think he should know his name by now?

DS is turning 3 on Friday, he's in nursery part time and at the parents evening just before Christmas, his key worker said his speech needed improvement, but because he was only 2.5 I wasn't worried. His speech has improved massively since then, and even his keyworker had noticed. So we're happy. The thing is I've noticed he doesn't really know his name, he obviously will answer if someone calls him by his name but if you ask him what's your name? He just smiles, points at himself and says 'I'm me' Grin.

I'm just wondering, at what age should he know his name? His name is not really a difficult one either, think Zach.

My DS is nearly 2.5. He still thinks his name is "Daddy". 🤪😂 We've never called him that and his actual name isn't tricky, either.

So sweet! This could have been written about by DD. Can’t remember when she stopped but at some point between 2.5 and 4. Now she introduces herself to anyone that crosses her path.
