WIBU to tip his lunch over his head?

A guy who works in the same office as me has just warmed up a sodding fish pie in the communal microwave and is now sitting at his desk eating it. So he's stunk out not only the kitchen but the office as well, with smoked fish and cheese. It smells like feet, and not clean ones either. I feel queasy Envy not envy

Would I be entirely justified in tipping it over his head, or maybe out of the window so I don't have to smell it any more? Does anyone seriously think it's ok to eat hot stinky food in an office?

One of our GP's brought in salmon to eat for lunch and said that the patients would be thinking that she smelled like an old tom cat. If anyone has fish for lunch someone always asks "who's smelling like an old tom cat?"

just be direct OP. Be open and honest. Grin

The fish pie wouldn't bother me but if someone started chewing loudly it would definitely make me homicidal.

@HomeMadeMadness Oh I am right with you on that! A few years ago the young chap who sat opposite me always ate really noisily with his mouth open. Then all afternoon he would be giving little burps - my guess is he swallowed so much air when he ate it gave him wind.

Personally I don't find smelly food bothers me at all. But a new chap has just started working here - sits near me - and he keeps doing that cracking knuckles thing. At least once an hour. AIBU for finding that immensely annoying?

I’m without the OP. Someone in the holiday house (its huge, not boasting, there were 20 of us, bonkers chaotic but fun!) at the weekend heated up fish pie. It stank. Bit gross given how cold it was so we couldn’t open the windows.

Any strong smells are inconsiderate in a communal space. I especially hate musky perfume, it should be banned like in Canada.

I was a bit disappointed to read that this is a 'Would I be...' rather than 'Was I being....'

We supposedly have a 'no hot food at desks' policy, but that has long been forgotten about.
