to be worried about getting my symptoms across in a psychiatric appointment

I have recently been assessed by community mental health, who think I may have bipolar disorder, this was all following a manic and depressive cycle.. I have now been referred to a psychiatrist for diagnosis/treatment and have been sent a mood diary to complete.
I am pleased that after many years, I'm finally going to be getting the right help, but I am worried I won't get across the true extent of my moods as I'm currently pretty stable, so not much to put in the mood diary, we'll nothing like the cycles I have been through.
Is there anyone who has been through a recent diagnosis? I know every single case is so different.

Write them down? That seems the easiest way. I always do that when I go to the GP, I know yours is a different appointment, but the same principles apply

If it’s not too upsetting, you could write about some of your most difficult situations and share those with the doctor.

Thank you for your kind replies... The mood diary seems to be all about my moods, intensity, sleep patterns etc over the next few weeks... I'm pretty sure from past experience that although I'll have mild symptoms over this time, it won't be as bad as the times when I've been really bad (usually only once or twice a year).
I suppose I could write an extra bit from when it has been worse... I just want them to get the full picture so I get the correct medication etc.
I'd be interested to speak to others who have been diagnosed to find out about how they found it

Remember is the doctors job to take a thorough history and mental state examination. Write down your symptoms but don’t get worried. They will ask about the important bits
