To get a robot mop

Yes I know I'm a lazy bint but I have 2 dogs and work full time.

It could mop my floor every night collecting the stray hair and paw marks.

I used to have a Roomba, and a Scooba. Both excellent, did well keeping on top of everything. Both long gone to the robot scrapyard (bought both 12/13 years ago).

I now have a cheapie Eufy robot hoover, which while not as good as the roomba was, is a fraction of the price...

And a braava jet sweep/mop, which does the job nicely.

Honestly, you won’t regret it.

eek was that a mop or a vac?

A combo one. I’m
Going to get a dyson cordless because I think that’s a much quicker and better solution. The other issue with the hoover mop is it gets stuck and you have to take stuff out of the way for
It anyway...and it takes AGES! I could whip round with a cordless hoover in 10 mins and this takes 90 mins and isn’t as efficient.

Mine hoovers and mood you just change the tank it's a Proscenic and about £200 on Amazon.

It's been an absolute revelation and [looks from side to side: whispers] I love it more than my dishwasher

*mops

That's the other thing about it, it's never in a mood 😀

I have a Neato robovac which I love and set going every morning whilst I walk the dog and have been contemplating a mop as well. Those who own them is it possible to set them loose in a room that is half carpeted and half hard floor? I don't want it straying on my carpet.

This was my issue though - our rugs. The hoover seemed to collect hair from the floor and it would get stuck around the edges of the rugs so there was just this horrible smear of hair here and there in the room.

If the border of the hard floor is straight then yes it can do that, I have a Braava and no door on my kitchen just an open doorway, I set it at the doorway facing into the kitchen and press a button that kind of sets that point as it’s zero, and it won’t mop behind that line. Then set it off and go up to bed leaving it work my floor and come down in the morning to a clean floor Smile

I appreciate it’s not massively cost effective - but I just wouldn’t bother to clean the floor very often if I didn’t have it!

@PunkRockHippy I'm leaning towards a Braava, which one do you have? The more expensive one cleans/mops a larger area which as my house is open plan might be better.

Unless your changing the moppy bit, is it not just spreading the muck more evenly
