Posting here for traffic.

Are crocs better than jelly type shoes?

Actually I’d opt for a better designer model beach shoe... all the other babies at the nursery will mock the croc!

Sometimes she cuddles them.

Aww. 💗😊

Yes we have them, grey for summer and holidays. Better then cheap sandals from cheap shops

Oh, you don't use them for long distances or escalators. They're for pottering on the flat when the ground's a bit damp but wellies would be overkill.

@steff13 to be fair, she cuddles her trainers as well

My toddler had crocs when she learned to walk, and a shoe fitter said to me that at that age they’re actually very good for little feet, as they’re wide enough for the foot to spread naturally. I really don’t think baby’s feet need ‘support’!

User12879923378, I still think it's quite adorable.

My 14 month old is a size 5 so it's very difficult to get super soft shoes - he got some Clarks trainers that were properly fitted

Young children do not need their shoes to be supportive, they need them only to stop sharp things hurting the soles of their feet. Much better to have them barefoot whenever possible or in barefoot friendly footwear, which are super flexible. The bones, muscles and other anatomy of the foot need to work themselves to get strong and support the foot and ankle itself.
