This isn't a complaint, I just need to know and am posting here for traffic. Have been trying on and off for 24 hours. Cant leave a message because it's not about me but on behalf of a parent (police suggested I ring them for advice as situation is v complex).

If anybody has experience of them, or can suggest other charities that can advise w injunctions, all info gratefully received.

Women's aid might be able to help you. Sorry no experience trying to call them myself x

Tumblefluff · 29/04/2019 22:04

I just checked that myself confused. WA use the NDV helpline!

SadVillageGirl · 29/04/2019 22:07

I got through after the 4th time of calling.

LadyBahBahBah · 29/04/2019 22:13

Women's aid didn't want to know when I called them - I suspect they operate like RSPCA only interested when the cameras are there

OP, keep trying. WA website says can be easier to get through between 7pm and 7am, be prepared not to get through immediately, and you can leave a voicemail for a call back but if you're a third party do not leave any personal information of the person you're concerned about on the message, just your own information, and state that it is safe for them to return your call.

BarbarianMum · 29/04/2019 23:31

Thanks Tumblefluff will try that. It's not urgent, urgent but is heading towards crisis.

Go directly to a solicitor for advice. Look for any solicitor who practices family law. Most solicitors have free legal clinics. You can have 30 mins of free advice.
They can go through options of getting a restraining order which is called a. Non molestation order at the civil courts. Go to your meeting with pictures, evidence, any details of police log numbers, ID, bank statements in case the ball starts rolling. You could ring your local women's aid or research your local IDVA service.
You can also go directly to any civil court who will give you forms of details on how to fill forms for an order.

This all goes for any children's matters too.

I'm sorry that you've not had much joy with ncdv but please do look at other avenues. I've friends who have been in similar circumstances and found NCDV frustrating

Women’s Aid didn’t want to know about me even after my abuser was convicted. I was brutally sexually assaulted and almost murdered multiple times. He also stalked me to my doorstep, and continues to do so after his prison time. No one cares it seems. Adult social care thought I wasn’t at risk either! Crazy world. I hope you get the help you need OPFlowers
