To ask what you do with the ends of your bread?

Just that, really. I used to give them to the birds until I learnt that bread isn't good for birds, and they're a bit too dry to eat as part of a sandwich or toast, so what do you do? Just chucking them in food recycling seems wasteful. Have I been missing something obvious? Am I being too picky and should be eating them anyway?

They're good for making croutons too. Chopped into cubes and tossed in olive oil with garlic, parmasan, herbs and seasoning - oven for 15 mins. Great for salads or soup. Yum.

It’s not extra dry when it’s been toasted! Toasting dries out bread more than sitting about a bit!

DH eats them, when he is away I feed them to the chooks.

My neighbours have little pigs, goats, chickens so all leftovers go to them
