To hate most kids clothes these days (lighthearted)

Babies and toddlers in ripped jeans, demon jackets, leather jackets and girls with huge bow headbands on to loudly proclaim THIS BABY IS A FEMALE CHILD. It looks ridiculous. Leggings, slogans, it's just all so tacky. I hate most kids clothes I see. It's so ugly.

Anyone else?

I'm like OP's fashion nemesis then - DD1 gravitates to anything covered in unicorns and both my girls wear leggings and joggers a lot. Quite often leggings under jersey dresses too - tights are very tricky for my daughter with dyspraxia to manage consistently without having her arse hanging out of the top of them. Lots of normal style trousers fall down on them both as they're so long legged and even adjustable waists have their limits if I buy to get the leg length needed.

Both wearing leggings today and one rocking a unicorns forever onesie over the top of them. The only thing I really do have massive issues with is that they're hitting that age 7ish crossover where they move into "tween" stuff in lots of retailers that I really do feel is a bit too mature for them to be wearing yet (joys of having tall children).

Especially for the summer when mine are usually climbing and hanging upside down off things and suncream wrecks loads of clothes - I refuse to spend a load on things and have to fret about if they get ruined or potential resale value - lots comes from charity shops if I can find it (but the pool of stuff available drops off as kids get older and clothes last longer and wear out rather than are outgrown) but there's a hell of a lot of supermarket stuff in there as well.

I tend to dress my kids like that too. My eldest wears polo shirts or button shirts, shorts or trousers and then a tank top if its cold. He's never found it impractical at all.

My biggest and only kids clothing pet peeve is things like leather jackets or rippered jeans on toddlers or baby grows that have been made to look like formal wear for men etc.

With regards to boden, jojo joules I like that they look timeless and that with the quality if taken care of properly can be handed down to siblings and future granfchildren etc

Leather jackets on babies are probably my most hated item of clothing.

@TeenTitans also hate hate hate bikinis om baby girls..... Seriously why???? it gets worse once they are older and in the tween market. Some of those outfits especially young girls just turn my stomach at times and leave me wondering why parents want their kids to grow up that fast

My DD has a little leather jacket from River Island. I love my one and think she looks cute.
