To ask you for Spanish music recommendations?

Hi all,

It’s me again - posting for traffic! (Some of you might remember me from last night’s “got a song stuck in my head” thread Grin which has now been resolved, with huge thanks to you all!)

I studied Spanish at uni, but have forgotten quite a bit of it, so recently started having lessons as I’d love to get back into it and properly start enjoying and appreciating it.

I think finding some Spanish music to listen to would be a great way of getting back into it. Does anyone have any recommendations, please?

Thanks!

I'm the same as you OP, rusty as hell.
Have you tried the Notes in Spanish podcasts? They're very good. An English guy and his Spanish wife. I was surprised how much came back to me.
My Spanish music tastes are stuck in the 80s when I studied there, so I'm still listening to Mocedades, Mecano, Ana Belen, Rocio Jurado, Joaquin Sabina, Ramoncin, Miguel Bose etc. Total cheese! Grin

Manu Chao is great, some of Shakira's older music is all in Spanish.

Oooh good idea about the podcasts - thanks Canterbury! Thanks again for all of the music recommendations, everyone!
