How often does your 5 year old hurt themselves?

I'm trying to get a referral to a paediatrician for my 5 yr old for various behavioural issues, coupled with incomprehensible (to anyone other than me and her siblings) speech. She also walks on tiptoes/with feet turned in and is, I think, excessively clumsy.

This week, for example, she's:

Walked into a building, bin, tree, car and fence
Slipped on stones and grazed herself 3 times
Opened a door onto her head twice
Tripped over her own feet at least 10 times
Shut her finger in the door twice
Fallen off her chair 4 times
Tripped over steps/curbs/sticks at least 5 times

She is covered in bumps, bruises and scrapes. The GP I discussed this with said this is within the normal realms of the average 5 year old, but my 10 yr old certainly wasn't anywhere near as accident prone, neither are other DC we know. Honestly I feel reluctant to take her out at times as I know she will get hurt.

AIBU to think this is happening more frequently than it should?

My very Neuro typical (so far) 5 year old easily hurts himself this often. Not a day goes past without a howl and a new bruise or blood :)

If her walking looks unusual, might it be worth asking about a referral to a physiotherapist? In case there’s any physical issues contributing to the clumsiness?

DS2 is pretty clumsy, falls over his own feet a lot, although hurts himself nowhere near as often as your DD in that example.
