Saw this was discussed on loose women so thought I would start it here

When I have a Muller corner I have to mix the strawberry with the yogurt for about 3 minutes

If I eat an apple then I must have cheese with it

SecretWitch · 26/04/2019 15:15

A sandwich cannot be had without crisps. Ever.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 26/04/2019 15:17

I'm the same with sandwich and crisps. No crisps in the house=no sandwich.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 26/04/2019 15:18

Putting vinegar on the ends of a loaf of bread, eating raw mozzarella on its own, licking salt & vinegar off Pringles but not eating the Pringles, eating cocoa powder, eating meals in a set order. I "duty eat" my veg first so as to then enjoy the rest of a meal.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 26/04/2019 15:18

And by veg I mean carrots. Which I only eat cut into batons.

RavenLG · 26/04/2019 15:21

A sandwich cannot be had without crisps. Ever.
Agreed

Certain sandwich fillings have to be in certain bread. I.e. Ham and Pease Pudding has to be in white bread with lurpack, but coronation chicken has to be in a wholemeal pitta bread.

Gold Bars have to be eaten with a cup of coffee, bite the ends off, suck the coffee up it until its about to fall apart and shove it all in mouth in one go.

youngfreeandnotsingle · 26/04/2019 15:23

I don't like any type of saucy food touching anything else on the plate, so like beans, tinned tomatoes etc! I'll also eat everything seperately until that item has gone and then move on to the next one, never mix. I also have a routine for eating a roast dinner

CheeseFace · 26/04/2019 15:27

I have raspberries, greek yogurt & toasted almonds for breakfast - topped with a good grind of salt.

DeadDoorpost · 26/04/2019 15:28

When younger I'd have a chunk of cheese spread with butter and then chicken and stuffing paste or turkey paste. Wouldn't ever do it now.

Have to order smarties in colour order in the tube before eating. Also like to sort out Milky way stars into their faces. Done this since I was maybe 4 or 5.

Sandwiches have to be in triangles and I never eat the top slice after the crust. DH never butters bread properly.

Oh, and I never have butter with another spread 🤮

CheeseFace · 26/04/2019 15:29

Also, eggs and beans should absolutely not touch - because of yolk going in the beans not vice versa, so omelette & beans would technically be ok.

CherryBlossom23 · 26/04/2019 15:29

I also don't like most of my food touching on my plate but it's fine if they're mixed while cooking, for example curry//shepherd's pie/stir-fry etc.
If I'm having a roast I eat the roast potatoes last as they're my fave.

CheeseFace · 26/04/2019 15:33

Oh, another one... whatever it is I'm eating, without exception, I save an 'ultimate mouthfull' to eat last. If I was too full to finish the plate I'd still eat that last.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 26/04/2019 15:43

@CherryBlossom what's your roast routine? I start with carrots & end with Yorkshire puds. Unless there's crackling on offer. I savour my crackling!

kittens876 · 26/04/2019 15:45

I Never have dairylea with butter. I’m 41 and my Mum still makes a picnic for the beach and uses them together and gets upset when I don’t eat them. I may need counselling... or to make my own packed lunch lol x

bessie84 · 26/04/2019 16:03

omg, im so glad it isnt just me with the sandwich/crisp thing. ive often wondered if i was normal - no crisps in the house= no sandwich. PHEW.

just that really. :-)

churchthecat · 26/04/2019 16:05

I pour Worcester sauce in my packet of crisps.

RedSheep73 · 26/04/2019 16:08

Blimey I thought I was a fussy eater - I feel quite normal now! licking the middle out of custard creams and eating the chocolate first off a kitkat seem quite tame...

hellsbellsmelons · 26/04/2019 16:12

I don't really do dinner.
My dinner most evenings is a load of dry roasted peanuts.
(must turn over a new leaf)

CherryBlossom23 · 26/04/2019 16:15

DSHathaway I normally do carrots and meat first (every second bite or so, can't mix food on the fork Blush) then any other veg and finally roasties. Rarely have Yorkshire puddings with mine but they would come just before potatoes Wink

Dexterslockedintheshedagain · 26/04/2019 16:25

If I eat a ginger nut biscuit, I have to break it on my elbow first. 3 pieces is lucky.
My Gran started me off on this years ago, I have no idea why but it's stuck with me!

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 26/04/2019 16:25

@youngfreeandnotsingle you can get food dividers on Amazon for your plate

countdowntonap · 26/04/2019 16:30

Unless I’m away on holiday I know what I eat every day of the week as I’ve followed the routine for years. E.g. I know know that on Monday 16th Sep 2019 I’ll have eggs and an apple for breakfast etc.

Hels1987 · 26/04/2019 16:58

I put mayonnaise on beans. Still repulses my DH now but I love it.

WillGymForPizza · 26/04/2019 17:03

I like to have stew with crusty bread. I take some of the potatos, put them onto the bread, mash them up and make a potato sandwich which I then dunk in to the gravy.

Wallabyone · 26/04/2019 17:04

I like oranges with salt, apples too. Toast with butter, apricot jam and uncooked halloumi or cheddar.
