There’s a historical Texan burial plot in the front yard!

DontCallMeShitley · 25/04/2019 20:57

I like it, mostly.

Have seen the cabbage things in gift shops but smaller ones. Wedgewood Countryware was a range of cabbage stuff, in white. I have it, including a cabbage teapot.

crispysausagerolls · 25/04/2019 20:58

I wouldn’t live there myself but I love it

This is a favourite of mine to look at online and boggle my mind over

The burial plot is pretty common over here... especially in more rural parts of USA there are often family plots in front if houses. I think it is really cool, you can see the history of the original owners of that land and how nice to be able to buried on your own property.

The decor though... yikes.

CheshireDing · 25/04/2019 22:14

Massive pool on the Texan house ! I am not getting the kitchen cupboards though Hmm why, just why ?

The Surrey one baffles me too - why the beach and what's going on with the main bathroom - it's bonkers and the pod in the 4th bedroom.

Just too many questions.

Must be quite comedy to go round these houses if you are the estate agent.

Bearsleuth · 25/04/2019 22:28

Okaaaaay. The US house is bizarre.

The UK one...that is beyond weird. Would be amazing to stay for a weekend, though! A beach party room with real sand ?!

Steamfan · 25/04/2019 22:28

The Surrey house is dreadful- the pod in pic 20 reminds me of something out of one of the Star Trek episodes, where they put bodies in to be transported, the copper bathroom(15) looks like a Victorian dissection lab. And all that sand - lovely if you have cats! I def. prefer the Texas house!

BettysLeftTentacle · 26/04/2019 09:59

The house in east Mosley is mine!

Well... it’s not but I wish it was. I’d get pissed off at hoovering up stray sand pretty quickly though.

MidniteScribbler · 26/04/2019 10:26

I actually really like some aspects of the one on rightmove. A lot of it would get redone, but I do like it. I don't even care about the sand, I go to the beach a couple of times a day, so between me, DS and the dogs, there is plenty of sand in the car and house. Just part of living at the beach.
