My parents are going away with friends for a week in the UK. They do alot for my DS and I and I had an idea that it might be nice to do them a little hamper of goodies/ useful stuff to take with them.

They are flying and will be staying in a cottage when there.

So far I thought of :

Boiled sweets for the plane
Naice travel sized toiletries
Sun cream
Travel guide book for the area

I don't want to put in novels or anything - they are going with friends and have a few things planned so I think they will mostly be socialising.

Any ideas would be great!

I would book them a nice meal somewhere or something to do when they get there, or organise something nice to arrive to the cottage?

I think it's a LOVELY thought, but hard to carry things short haul when most airlines budget. Why not look up food outlets in departure airport and give a voucher for nice coffee and cake before departure? Or a voucher for a local restaurant/ tourist attraction at final destination?

A pack of playing cards? Actually if they are flying they probably won't have room for loads of stuff

Naice box of chocs to share with their friends
Their favourite tea/coffee
Travel pillow
Sudoku/puzzle book/playing cards
Voucher for a meal in the area they are going to

My parents friends have booked it so I don't have any of the details to send anything there in advance and I wouldn't know where toget a voucher for let alone be able to afford it Sad

A wee game or something is a nice idea though, I did think about a nice bottle of something to take with them but was worried about room in the suitcase.

They have a specific coffee which they like as well, I wonder if I can get a mini jar of that or some sachets, thanks!

Ooh just thought you could maybe leave something nice for them to arrive to back in their house too? Something they'd appreciate after their journey, cooked meal, nice treat, fresh sheets or something like that?

That's a great idea Don't I can definitely pop round and make sure there's milk in the fridge and some nice things to eat.
