Will the chicken DEFINITELY kill us??

So, lunchtime today, I whipped up a yummy chicken salad... diced chicken, fried etc etc. Got to the end of the meal and realised that a bigger piece was a bit medium rare... shit!! I did think one of the bits I ate was a bit ‘spongy’.
So my question is, do you ALWAYS get food poisoning off undercooked chicken? Or is it the luck of the draw??
Panic stations here!!

Almost certainly fine! Very little chicken in the U.K. is infected with salmonella. You will very likely be ok.

Few times Iv accidentally eaten pink chicken usually chicken drumsticks and iv never been ill

Salmonella isn't a huge worry in the UK. Campylobacter on the other hand..

This isn't a chicken story but a while back I grabbed a few slices of Parma ham type stuff out of the fridge to snack on and shoved them straight in my mouth. Went back for another slice and noticed the ham looked very grey and 'dewy'! Looked at the pack and realised it wasn't the nice fresh pack, it was a pack that had been opened for over 2 weeks! Shock

I then obsessively googled every type of food poisoning I could possibly get and sat waiting for the vomit fest like a ticking time bomb. I knew I was doomed.

I was absolutely fine.

It's horrible not knowing whether you are going to get ill or not, but I should think the odds of you being ok are good!

Rare chicken is a real thing in Japan. Fingers crossed for you OP!

I'd still keep your eye out for any signs of sickness from any of you over the next day or so!

Update... we made it through the night unscathed 🙌🏼
