To have ordered a tracker to find this loon?!

Hammering at the door this evening. DH answers to a random woman who immediately starts shouting at him.
Saying how we don't look after our cat and how shes now losing fur from her back.
Goes on about how our cat is obviously not fed enough cause shes round hers all the time.

DH is obviously shocked and does explain that she was shaved by the VET 2 weeks ago, due to oil stuck in her fur.
Shes not underweight at all, very healthy, just looks a bit daft atm with patches of short fluff on her back.

Shouty woman doesn't stop shouting or acknowledge DHs answer, shouts some more stuff about coming back and storms off.
I had literally popped out for 5 minutes. DH was at the door with our 7 month old and our 4 year old was at the door with him.
I'm furious.

Call me crazy, but I want to find this person and talk to them.

Knocked round a few houses with no luck.
Ordered a tracker for the cat so we know where shes sneaking off too 😂

Aibu? What would you do?

What crime do you think she's committed OP? Do you really think the police will be interested?

wigglypiggly · 22/04/2019 20:38

she must have followed your cat home to know where it lives, can you let your cat out and follow it to her house and then knock on her door and ask for cat back and please dont feed it any more or come knocking on my door.

Crazycatlady99 · 23/04/2019 07:07

@RubberTreePlant
Nothing yet, but as I said she has previous form for doing this, so by getting it put on record first we're at very least making the police aware shes still being a troublemaker. If she turns up at my door again shouting like that at least I can say the police know all about you..

Get in a copy of 6 Dinner Sid and hand it to her if she comes again

Crazycatlady99 · 23/04/2019 18:24

Quick q guys!
I found her house, knocked and she didnt answer.
That was a few hours ago, I want to try knocking again but DH says that might count as harassment! Surely not?! If someone didnt answer it's normal to try again later isn't it?!

What will you say to her if she answers?

I thought the plan was to tell the police about her knocking at your door?

Your DH might have a point TBH. You seem to be over reacting.

RubberTreePlant · 23/04/2019 18:51

Have a look on FB, BTW. Where I live all the cat-detectives busy bodies have a FB page where they all discuss local cats (missing, dead, stray and perfectly happy cats they decide to "investigate").

If you have a local group like that, the safest option might be to put a general "to whom it may concern" post up there with a photo of your cat, a description of why they're shaved, an assurance that they're fed & housed and just a general request that nobody interfere with your cat?

Cherrysoup · 23/04/2019 18:52

Leave it, OP, you have no idea who she lives with and what she might do if she’s unhinged. It’s not worth it. If she comes to your house again, phone the non emergency police number for advice.

RosinaAlmaviva · 24/04/2019 07:31

Don't go back to her house! She will likely kick off and then try to turn it all around and claim you are harassing her. Your DH is right. It's important for you to report her first and to stay away from her, then it's clear that the aggression is coming from her not you.
