To just go to bed?

I'm exhausted. I've been fighting a virus for over two weeks, and it's not going anywhere. Saw a GP last night in desperation, but they told me it was viral and that I just needed to rest.

I can't rest. I have a baby and an autistic four year old. My husband is upstairs working and will not come down and help me with the children.

I can't do this any more. My whole body aches.

They are his children too. Take them to him, get in bed and tell him to get the fuck on with it. Useless prick.

You need to go back to the doctor for some help with your mental health. You must as your dcs need you..It's really hard parenting a dc with additional needs. Can you plug your dd into electronics while you have a lie down? Why can't your dh take a lunch hour break while you sleep? Let him sigh. They're his dcs too. It's okay to tell him firmly that you need help.

I dont think saying "Give the kids to him. Go out." actually helps if he's not going to look after them. Nor do I think the OP has the will or energy to go out anywhere right now.

Is your bedroom child safe? Can you lock yourself in with the kids, let them watch DVDs/play with toys/trash the room while you doze on the bed? He can fuck off to his office.

Then when you're feeling better decide what you want to do long-term.

If you're in Newcastle area you're welcome to come for a long nap and a cup of tea, I'll watch your lo's for a few hours. Sounds shite op but I really would leave the house if you have anywhere you can just rest for a while, leave the kids if you need to, doctors orders
