As he now twitches and jerks in his sleep.

I'm so bloody tired and fed up.

Has he seen the GP about it? Excessive snoring can be indicative of a health condition such as sleep apnea.

Fazackerley · 18/04/2019 23:44

I'm sure he has sleep aapnea. He always feels rested though, gets up early and has quite a lot if energy (runs a lot does the odd triathlon)

Before he got his CPAP my husband was a nightmare to sleep with. I've had many a night where I've woken up to him gently sliding me off the edge of the bed. Digging underneath me or seeing him face down on the bed pretending hes Spidermaning up a wall.

I got my own bedroom, proper bliss Grin

Fazackerley · 18/04/2019 23:48

Mine refuses to get a cpap

He thinks it's mildly amusing.

I can't wait to get my own room once dd goes to uni

He is aware that he's at risk of losing his driving license (if he has one) isn't he and has an increased risk of heart attack?

It's not something you can fuck about with and think there's a choice.

gamerchick · 18/04/2019 23:51

That's if he has sleep apnoea

Weenurse · 18/04/2019 23:56

Film him, and not just a short clip, but one that goes for hours if possible.
Once he views it and how relentless it is, he may change his views.
He needs sleep studies.
As PP have said, sleep apnoea can lead to a variety of health problems.

Fazackerley · 18/04/2019 23:56

Well that's one reason for him not to bother the gp! There's no way he'll risk his licence. Tbh having to drive him everywhere would be worse Grin

He'd rather risk a heart attack instead?

Take out life insurance.

Ewitsahooman · 19/04/2019 00:00

Wake him up every single time he wakes you up. Nudge-nudge "you're snoring, roll over please". He'll sharp get sick of it.

Fazackerley · 19/04/2019 00:02

He has a lot of life insurance. Hes also fit, a good weight with low blood pressure. It's me who's knackered!!

he thinks it's amusing that you are sleep deprived??
ffs
hope its not too long till you can have your own room!

OrangeJuiceandArmchairs · 19/04/2019 00:07

You have my sympathy.

I now have earplugs and dh has a 'snoremender' mouth guard. Occasionally we'll just sleep apart for our own sanity.

TanselleTooTall · 19/04/2019 00:07

Snoring is awful, isn't it. My DP sounds like a cow mooing and it's so flipping loud that he can be heard no matter where you are located in the house.
I co sleep at the moment so my nights are far from bliss and he sleeps downstairs, but if I'm being honest, I prefer it this way! Blush

mcjx · 19/04/2019 00:08

I feel for you OP, my DP is also a snorer. I often sleep with headphones in and play white noise.

I can't hear him and it helps me fall asleep quickly. Win win

Fazackerley · 19/04/2019 00:08

I have earplugs but they are no use against the twitching

Weenurse · 19/04/2019 02:03

I have heard sewing a tennis ball into the back of PJ’s can help.
As it stops him rolling onto his back when snoring is generally worse.

OrangeJuiceandArmchairs · 19/04/2019 07:23

@Fazackerley yes sorry you're right. Twitching is a different kind of hell.
