A family member died and my siblings and I are in the will, according to my father. However; I am more or less NC with father (only communication for a year has been around this matter/funeral arrangements etc), and I think he is using/going to use this situation as a way to force contact with siblings and me, as he is the executor. How do we find out the contents of the will that are relevant to us without waiting for him to string it out for as long as possible? Death was a month ago, funeral has happened etc.

How much?
If it wasn't much I'd wait and see, but a lot of money would change the answer.

The will should become public once probate is granted.

Sorry for your loss OP, but a month is no time at all to sort out the assets of the deceased so definitely not stringing it out just yet.

If probate is granted you can pay for a copy of the will. Otherwise you can only request a copy from the executor and if there is no probate I don't think he is obliged to actually give you a copy, strangely!

If there is property involved, it is more likely that it will go to probate because of the value involved.
