To clean my teeth at work each day?

I hate the aftertaste of pretty much all food. Mints leave a funny taste too.

Would I be unreasonable to keep a tube of toothpaste and toothbrush at work to clean my teeth after lunch?

Office with multiple floors. Although the toilets are small, there are a few of them so I'd use one of the quieter ones and obviously wash the sink afterwards.

I'd need to figure out how to keep my toothbrush hygienic in my desk.

No, I do it, always have. I keep my toothbrush in a travel holder in my bag.

I used to do this. No one ever said anything. I wrapped it in kitchen roll and then put it in a clean sandwich bag. Probably more hygienic than keeping it in the bathroom at home anyway!

MitziK · 15/04/2019 18:04

I do it. Just keep toothbrush and toothpaste in a cosmetics bag in your desk.

I've got braces so I have to brush my teeth everywhere...

When needs must!

Beeziekn33ze · 15/04/2019 18:23

Very reasonable to have good mouth hygiene! Go for it!

I work in a big office and the toilets are full of people brushing their teeth after lunch. What would make you think it’s weird?

bridgetreilly · 15/04/2019 18:35

I think it's a bit weird to want to clean your teeth so often, but I can't see why you shouldn't if you want to.

RavenLG · 15/04/2019 18:56

As long as you clean the sink and don't leave toothpaste splatter about the place it wouldn't bother me. Mind you our work toilets are absolutely disgusting so I wouldn't ever want to be in long enough to brush my teeth Envy < not envy

Chouetted · 15/04/2019 18:59

Not so long as you wait 30 minutes before doing so - it's bad for your teeth to brush straight after a meal as the enamel is softer.

Alwaysthesun · 15/04/2019 19:22

I used to do this, but I kept a toothbrush in a travel case in my bag with a mini tube of toothpaste! I've fallen out of the habit now, but I did it for a decade at least!

tttigress · 15/04/2019 19:26

Currently working in Switzerland. Most people do it (that is not an exaggeration). Kinda feel like I should start.

TheDarkOverload · 15/04/2019 19:29

Phew! I won't be breaking some unspoken office etiquette rule then. :)

Thanks.

I use chewing gum for this as years of compulsive over brushing has left me with extremely sensitive teeth.
