hairdressers blow dry T

Each time I go to the hairdressers the blow dry makes my naturally thick hair look very thin and whispy. I had a blow dry today because my hair is long and I do not have the patience to do it myself but the hairdresser put too much oil on my hair after the blow dry and as well as the hair looking thin, it felt lanky and greasy and later tonight I am going to have to wash it and do it myself, The only good thing was I was told to use a blow dry spray which I now have. Other than that it was a mistake and a total waste of money. Anyone else have this issue? I want my hair to appear thick not thin. I do not have thin hair

Yes it's weird how hairdressers (hair stylists) do that. I quite like the look though - it seems more sophisticated as my hair can be rather frumpy looking if it's allowed to go it's own thick wavy way.

Well no one here can tell on the information given. You say you have thick hair, great, but is it thick and poker straight? Thick and wavy? Thick and curly? Thick and fine? Thick and coarse? Thick and variations on the above? You see my point. I have no idea if you're being U.

Sounds like your hair was blow dried straight and too much product was applied. A good hairdresser shouldn’t apply so much product. Did you complain at the time?

Ask for a refund.

Next time, ask for a bouncy blow dry with volume.

my hair is thick and coarse. It is not wavy or curly. I am just smelling my hair and the products smell foul. Off to re-wash my hair in a bit

If it’s every time and you don’t like how it looks then why haven’t you said something to them, you know, preferably before they start applying products and turning the hairdryer on?

Yeah perhaps speak up about your dislikes of your past blowdries upon consultation, do you have a consultation? Or learn some patience to blow dry your own hair rather than the constant disappointment each time you go to a hairdresser
