To ask why my bum is fat/big despite constant exercise and food denial?

I'm post menopausal (early meno), on HRT. I exercise a lot. Weights/conditioning/HITT/boxing. I don't think I eat a lot AT ALL. I'm v healthy, rarely have sugar/no pasta or rice/and don't drink.

But still, my ass is fat. I have a small belly - not flat anymore but still pretty small. But the bum...it's like all the fat goes there...

I don't weigh myself anymore as I know muscle weighs more etc etc - but if I went by the scales, I'm about half a stone more than I want.

But I literally have no ideas how I can lose that extra fat.

It's depressing

I have a healthy bmi and got a big bum too. Always had a slightly bigger bum even when I was skinny as a teenager.

Lot of it is genetics.

I also have always had a bigger bum and small waist. No matter what my weight is, it's always been pretty much the same ratio. It's just genetic really. I have been told by my doctor that it's really fine and carrying weight around my middle would be more worrisome.

I just try to dress for it--sometimes straighter shaped clothes have to be taken in around the waist, but a bit of tailoring is often a good thing anyway.

I carry my excess weight round my waist, and that's the last place I lose it. Because of that I'm aiming to lose a few more kgs (for health reasons), even though I'm already in the healthy weight range, am fit and look a bit bony in places.
It might be an idea to weigh yourself so that you know exactly where you are weight wise, after that it's a matter of aesthetics and just accepting your shape and making thinking about the way you dress to accentuate or minimise parts of your body.

Also, there is nothing wrong with carbohydrates like rice and pasta, especially if they are whole grain. Carbs in moderation are not the enemy and cutting then out often leads to overeating other food groups.

Ass and thighs is the first place women gain fat and its the last place to lose it from.

If you think your ass is fat then you still have overall bodyfat to lose

I had to realise that the whole world has legs/bum that looks like upturned reisling bottles. I have legs/bum that look like upturned champagne bottles.

The only person to like it is dh. Hey ho.

Only some women. I gain weight on my bust and midsection first. My thighs would be the last place, and a sign I was really getting fat.

Muscle doesn’t weigh more than fat. Muscle is more dense than fat.

Would you feel better about it if it was more specifically toned, doing something like Booty Barre?

You say you exercise a lot and eat very little. You also seem to have a very restrictive diet from what you've posted. If you are seriously restricting your energy intake or nutrition then your body could be storing fat to survive. Do you know your body fat percentage? I would suggest speaking to a reputable personal trainer with solid nutritional qualifications (not a "clean" eating quack).
