No, no, and no again.

Envy < not envy

I'd happily try any of that, including the fish cake.
I may not eat it a second time mind, but I'd give it a go.

gottastopeatingchocolate · 12/04/2019 21:30

Did someone get paid to write the third "recipe"?

(I'm in the wrong job!!)

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 12/04/2019 21:33

I say NO, NO and NO!!!!!

It's sacrilege!!

Cherrysherbet · 12/04/2019 21:33

🤮

GreenOliveOrBlackOlive · 12/04/2019 21:41

I’d give it a go. Maybe not the egg and soldiers but I’d try the others.

3ChangingForNow · 12/04/2019 21:43

Yes yes and yes omg

3ChangingForNow · 12/04/2019 21:43

Oh and in the same vein please do try honey on top of cheese on toast. Fucking AMAZING

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 12/04/2019 21:44

Has anyone had the pleasure of meeting the cheese Easter egg in Saintsbury's.

Bacon and Cheese Bun Brunch<

oooo yum

LetsDoThisAgain · 12/04/2019 21:51

I find most British food odd, so I don't see what the big deal is here. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Rockbird · 12/04/2019 21:52

Yes but Aldi also gave us the rhubarb and custard hot cross buns so they're forgiven anything.

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 12/04/2019 21:54

I don’t like hot cross buns, so it’s a hard pass from me.

Amanduh · 12/04/2019 21:55

I hate hot cross buns.
But can’t see the problem? Why no? Is it because of sweet/savoury? People have waffles, berries, bacon and syrup so...
I don’t understand what’s bad!

FrancesFryer · 12/04/2019 21:56

Does no one see the irony of putting bacon in a bun that's supposed to represent the cross a jew was sacrificed onConfused

PhilomenaButterfly · 12/04/2019 22:00

DD has added several million "No!" 's.

KooMoo · 12/04/2019 22:00

The only way to serve Hot Cross Buns is lightly toasted and slathered in best butter!

LostInTheColonies · 12/04/2019 22:05

Good to see that the Bermudian tradition of fishcakes in hot cross buns on Good Friday has been mentioned. Utterly grim. Accompanied by flying kites which regularly get tangled in power lines, then power cuts. Why??? Well, why to the fishcakes. I like the hot cross buns & kites.

whitehalleve · 12/04/2019 22:06

Not good!

BrightYellowDaffodil · 12/04/2019 22:08

Wrong on ALL THE LEVELS.

And what kind of deviant toasts a hot cross bun?!

PhilomenaButterfly · 12/04/2019 22:14

Frances 😂

AdaColeman · 12/04/2019 22:14

I like warm croissants with ham and cheese, so hot cross buns with bacon or cheese are just a short step away, worth a try I think.

But I'm not sure about the fish cakes in hot cross buns though, they'd need a huge amount of tartare sauce with them! Grin

KooMoo · 12/04/2019 22:16

Brightyellowdaffodil I’m pleased I’m deviant on some level .... the rest of my life is Manila vanilla Grin

MiniMum97 · 12/04/2019 22:25

Oo I don't know the bacon and cheese bun brunch (think it should be called a bun crunch though) looks tempting...

Mintylizzy9 · 12/04/2019 23:04
