Aibu to be a bit pissed off with Dh right now?

Dh gets nosebleeds fairly often - like once or twice every two weeks. I have suggested now and again that it would be a good idea to get them checked out, but he always dismisses the suggestion with, "Nah, he all right, it only happens occasionally.

He even had a health check recently. He forgot to mention the nosebleeds.

We are now on holiday, sitting on a beach on a Scottish island, waiting for his latest one to stop. This will be his fourth this holiday- we arrived on Saturday.

I do feel sorry for him - nosebleeds aren't nice - but surely I'm not unreasonable to feel a bit ticked off at him? I've found the number of the local surgery, but he's still refusing to get it looked at.

He could have a virus! I started getting regular nose bleeds a couple of years ago and went to the docs as this is very unusual for me. Got an antibiotic goo to stick up my nose and cleared in a week or so. They were very heavy as well so kinda freaky!

Nosebleeds can be symptoms of high blood pressure but I presume if he a health check they would have checked it.

DantesInferno · 10/04/2019 17:27

I though antibiotics don't work on virus? Or have they changed that now?

DanielRicciardosSmile · 10/04/2019 17:29

DH gets nosebleeds fairly frequently - usually when the air pressure is high, and mostly in the Summer. But I think with the regularity that your DH is getting them it definitely warrants investigation - surely it must be annoying for him?

Pashazade · 10/04/2019 18:53

@DantesInferno it may not have been a virus, apologies. But I definitely got a goo I had to apply with a cotton bud. It was some kind of random infection as there was nothing else going on!

Friedspamfritters · 10/04/2019 18:56

YANBU he should just go to the bloody doctor!

lordofthefries · 10/04/2019 18:57

YANBU, he should get it checked out

DantesInferno · 10/04/2019 18:59

@Pashazade no worries, I was just a bit eh?

What is it with men? Why can't they just got to the GP. Honestly, I've not met one sensible fella with regards to this. Mine will never go, his excuse? Well, he's worried it might be something serious. Facepalm.
